Recycled

I was going through my old blog a few days back when I realized some of my posts were gone!

Cis, bedebah!

So I decided to save this poem (one of my favorites) which I posted in the old blog, before it too gets erased for no apparent reason. This time around I'll include the English translation as well. The following piece is by a Ono no Komachi, a famous Japanese poet.

夢ぢには
あしもやすめず
かよへども
うつつにひとめ
見しごとはあらず

...translated as...

Though I go to you
ceaselessly along dream paths,
the sum of those trysts
is less than a glimpse
granted in the waking world.
